Daerah Kampar

Kampar District (Malay: Daerah Kampar) is a district in Perak, Malaysia, located in the southeastern part of the state, at the western foot of the Titiwangsa Mountains, and bordering the state of Pahang to the east. The area is 920 square kilometers. The county seat is Jinbao. There is a Kampar County Council.

There are 14 new Chinese villages in Jinbao County. Seven of them are traditional new villages and seven are reorganized villages. On 5 March 2009, Eston Village, Kampung Nawa, Island Reorganization Village, Independence Park Reorganization Village and Hualong New Village in Kampar County were officially announced that they were approved to be placed under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and could receive perennial development funding from the Government.

The total population of Kampar County was 98,978 in 2010, accounting for about 4.20% of the total population of Perak (2,352,743). The following figures are based on the 2010 Malaysian Population Census.
